Tatiana Suarez Teams Up with Kamea Hadar for Huge Little Haiti Mural

Check out the new mural going up in Little Haiti along 185 NE 59th St. Miami. The trademark Tatiana huge eyes are taken to a new level in this work in progress. Luxury lifestyle brand OluKai has brought together two nationally recognized and inspiring artists, Miami native Tatiana Suarez, and Hawaii native Kamea Hadar for a once in a lifetime project.  Sharing cultural histories through their talent, Tatiana and Kamea are currently collaborating from concept-to-sketch-to wall, to create a 15ft x 40ft outdoor mural. Inspired by the worldwide voyage of Polynesian voyaging canoe, Hōkūleʻa, which will make its debut in Miami in 2016, the mural blends the artist’s connection to the ocean and their cultural iconography in a single, unified piece.

Where: 185 NE 59th St. Miami, FL 33137

When: September 4-7, 2014. The culmination of these talented young artists work will conclude with OluKai’s S15 campaign photo shoot on Sunday, September 7th.
