The largest single sheet of hurricane resistant glass was installed yesterday for the new Perez Art Museum in Miami. The glass panel is 17 feet in height and faces east towards Biscayne Bay. Natural lighting in an art museum is almost a requirement. However, given potential for extreme inclement weather of our city, unpresendented measures had to be taken to meet such a requirement. The Perez Art Museum and its naturally gallery will open in just 7 months from now. Can’t wait.
