Intercontinental Miami lights up the skyline of Miami with giant LED digital canvas. 11/12/2012

Venus poses inside the newly renovated InterContinental Miami Presidential Suite designed by her firm, V Starr Interiors. The redesign is part of a larger $30M renovation project of the entire hotel, including new interactive technology in the lobby and a 19-story LED Digital Canvas on the hotel’s exterior façade.
Just in time for Art Basel weekend, Miami’s skyline gets a colorful and animated upgrade. We first posted about the newly renovated Intercontinental Hotel back on November 12. It brings pride to see entities of our city making moves and strides to raise the status of Miami as a viable world class destination. The newly LED Digital canvas will change our skyline forever. Perhaps trumping the Miami Tower (with LED upgrade of its own) for the title of “Most Recognizable Building in Miami.” I know we are far from the impressive LED repertoire of cities such Shanghai, Hong Kong and NYC, however this newly $30 million dollar renovation to the Intercontinental Hotel is an upgrade to Miami’s skyline.
